The Fall of Naxxramas

The 6th July 2009 will go down in LA history as the day Naxxramas fell to Legions Astatres.

Well done to everyone that was involved on the run over the last few days. Gratz to those people who got the achievement ‘The Fall of Naxxramas’ and grazt to everyone that received a new promotion, this not only shows the quality of ‘The LA Adept Team’ but also shows the strength in depth we now have.

LA has come a long way in only a short time, since the start of the new raiding events. A big thank you must got out to Svennex for taking the ‘The LA Adept Team’ to where it is now, his time, effort and leadership skills have been one of the main reasons for what progression LA has made recently. With the help of Coventina of course, the new ‘The LA Adept Team’ is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Naxxramas 10man run, 2nd July 2009

Fantastic run in Naxx last night guys, we really did tear a huge hole in the webs of the Spider Wing. Gz to all that got the achievement ‘Arachnophobia’ by defeating Maexxna within 20 minutes of Anub’Rekhan’s death.

After the Spider Wing we jumped into the The Construct Quarter where we downed Patchwork and Grobbulus, then finally called it on Gluth as it was getting late and i was being a muppet and badly kiting the adds (apologies for that).

Big news is that the ‘Ventrilo system’ will be on its way, Sven and Woo have a server lined up so we will all soon be able give each other verbal abuse and hear everyone’s strange accent (mine probably being the worse, im a scouser fgs, no one will be able to

understand me

Once the system is up guys, you will need to download the ‘Ventrilo Client’ (link available in the ‘Required Addons’ section on the blog) and install it onto your computer. Passwords and server details will be listed on guild information in-game and on the blog soon.

Thursday’s Os and VoA raids

Job well done on the on the OS and VoA runs last night guys. After we nearly fell at the first hurdle we manage to focus a bit better and take the place by storm.

It was nice to see Dunamis make an appearance last night. A big welcome goes out to him, hopefully Dun will be able to make it a regular thing on Thursdays and it is great to see him back.

As the clock dings, enter ‘Moloue’ a big thank you goes out to him for disturbing his beauty sleep and coming to help us take down Emalon the Storm Watcher, even though he was an hour late, we couldn’t have done it without him

In all seriousness gz to everyone on the VoA raid. A very good job indeed, we managed to take Emalon down on our second attempt after we totally messed up the first attempt and wiped before Vor and Bella even managed to get a shot off lol.

More 3.2 stuff

Here’s a few more nice touches they are putting into the new 3.2 patch coming soon !

-A new VoA boss coming – Koralon the Flame Watcher.
-There’s a new 5-man dungeon: Trial of the Champion, with a different set of bosses for the two factions.
-There’s a new holiday in there! Pilgrim’s Bounty looks to be a Thanksgiving-style holiday, from what’s been seen in the PTR code.
-Looks like a new title – “Pilgrim” and a new pet. A turkey, of course.

Cool 3.2 Engineering changes!!!

There are some awesome engineering changes on the way in the new wow patch 3.2

Check out the ones that stand out :-

Mind Amplification Dish – Head enchant, allows engineers to control other humans. Does not work in Arenas, sometimes reserves targets.
Portable Wormhole Generator for Northrend – Allows the engineer to travel about Northrend Deep Space 9 style.
Repair Bot Jeeves – A repair bot for the entire raid, who also allows bank access for 350+ engineers. Jeeves is not destroyed on use, and can be summoned once per hour. Schematic is apparently randomly hidden within another summonable bot.
A Steam-Powered Auctioneer has been added to the Dalaran Like Clockwork engineering shop, allowing access to one’s faction Auction House. The Steam-Powered Auctioneer was programmed with a superiority chip, and will only interact with Grand Master engineers.

Ok guys, the trails for the new ‘Adept Team’ are open. People who attend 2/3 raids each week and display an excellent level during these raids will be considered. At all times during the raid guild rules apply.

Are Faction changes on the way?

Rumors have it that Blizzard may be implementing a faction switching service.

There is no immediate indication if this will be a free service or a pay service, however based on their past name change, character appearance, and server transfer services it likely will carry with it a small fee.

People have been talking about the ability for characters to switch races and factions for a long time. It appears to finally be here.

Apparently there are still a lot of things to work out in this – mounts, quests, tabards, pets, achievements, etc… You don’t really want to see a Blood Elf Paladin riding around on a Human Charger.
